Kelly Kilmer Discount Pricing Ends Soon!

Kelly Kilmer Discount pricing good through Friday July 3rd!

Time is running out to save!

Kelly Kilmer, Mixed Media Art Journalist Extraordinaire, is one of our most favorite traveling artist who comes to teach at The Artists' Nook.

Kelly shows you many, many techniqes that can be used in books, journals, on a canvas or any art surface. Kelly likes to work in the book format but what you will learn is not limited to just the book.

As Mixed Media Artist, Venita Hawkins-Bird has learned from taking Kelly's workshops. Venita has used the techniques learned from Kelly, created her own style on her own surface. Venita likes to work on wood panels or canvas. Creating collaged, 3-dimensional pieces of art.

The other great thing about Kelly's workshops is she brings lots of paints, mediums, papers, pens, markers, and stamps to use in the workshop. This way you get to try it all out and see what you like before buying! Not many teachers do that!

Creativity Group and Changes to Thomas Ashman's workhsops

Hi all,

What a crazy time!
This time in my life is certainly a time to really focus on healing!

I have my mind wrapped around a lot of the divorce in a positive way of growing, learning and moving on. But I have realized the heart needs to heal properly too.

So I will be in and have been in "reserve-mode" at The Artists' Nook . Which means, I will focus on the Guest Artist workshops I have lined up for the year! And Fabulous ones, I do have to say!

And being there and providing for my 4 wonderful boys!

And if I am able to get into my studio to create or get myself on the workshop schedule, so be it. I am not going to put big demands on my time that will keep me from my boys and from my healing time!

With all that being said....

Take some time for yourself to create at:

Creativity Group on Saturday June 20th from 10 am - 5 pm
This is a day to get together with other artists in beautiful surroundings of The Artists' Nook and create. Join us!

Workshops w/ Thomas Ashman & Lynne Perrella

Life......

Whew, Life certainly has been a whirl wind for me...

Now that I am at the end of all the "have to do's" like get a job, a place to live, move, paperwork, paperwork.....

I feel a rush of emotion, wonder where I go from here...

Today, I step back from these feelings to just be here at my store, surrounded by wonderful stuff, wonderful people, beautiful scenery and just be.

Be grateful for my Artists' Nook people and the part of my life which gives me the biggest sense of hope and appreciation for all that I have!

I have posted on My Life's Passion Blog about "To Just Survive Life or to Live Life"

I am getting ready to host workshops with the fabulous Keith Lo Bue, a great person for me to spend some time with at this time in my life. A good soul, for sure!

I took Keith's "Shrines & Icons" Workshop in Virginia 3 years ago.

Keith's has a refreshing approach to putting together found objects into a shrine by choosing objects that naturally want to go together.

Also, He has you think about looking at the items not as their intended purpose in the "real" world but how they will work in your art. Keith taught me how to add interest by creating movement in my objects as doors to peak into which gives interaction with the "audience", the observers.

And that is just a small part of what Keith teaches in his Shrines & Icons workshop!

There is still room in all of Keith's Workshops.....
